How does Multi entity work?

Overview

Juni Multi entity lets you switch between all your companies using one primary email address and a single login session. You have a financial overview of all your companies directly on your login page giving you complete control.

How to

1. Add a user to another company

To link an existing email address to an additional company, the invitation must be issued from inside that specific company.

  1. Log in to the Juni account you want to invite the person to

  2. Go to the company name in the top left corner and navigate to Settings → My Team → Add member

  3. Enter their name, primary email address, phone number, and assign their specific role

  4. Click Invite and log out of the account

2. Accept a company invitation

To ensure the accounts link correctly you must use a web browser (the invitation flow is not currently supported inside the mobile app) and follow these three steps in order:

  1. Log out: Log completely out of your current Juni session in your browser.

  2. Accept the invite: Open the invitation email sent to your primary address and click the link.

  3. Log in: Once on the page confirms acceptance you will see the message "Invite accepted. Choose a company to continue"
    - Log in using your usual credentials.
    - The new company will now appear in your Company Overview.

3. Log in

  1. Go to the Juni platform and log in with your verified email and password.

  2. You will instantly see the log in page showing the companies you have access to.

  3. Each card displays the company name, total balance and pending accounting items (or the info you have access to)

  4. Click on the company you want to enter.

Note: Permissions are context-specific. You can be an Owner in Company A and an Accountant or Spender in Company B. Your platform view automatically adjusts based on your role in the selected company.

4. Switch between your companies

You never have to log out to check a different company.

  • On Web: Click your profile or company name in the top navigation menu and select Switch company.

  • On Mobile: Go to Settings and tap Switch company.

FAQ

1. Change to primary email address

I currently use email aliases (e.g. john+1@email.com). How do I switch?

Have an admin invite your primary email address (e.g john@email.com) to the company. Once you accept it, you can safely delete the old alias profile from the team settings.

What happens if an admin removes my old alias profile before I accept the new invite?

There is no correlation between the old alias profile and your new login. However, any cards or custom permissions tied to the old alias profile will need to be manually reassigned to your primary email after you join.

2. User Seats & Billing

The system says I will be billed for an extra user when adding my second email. Why?

If you have reached your free user limit, inviting your primary email while the old alias still exists temporarily counts as an extra seat.

The Solution: Complete the invitation anyway. Once you log into the new account, immediately delete your old alias profile and your billing will adjust. If an overlap fee appears on your invoice, contact support.

Note: If you are moving an Owner role, add the primary email and reassign the Owner role to it. Then remove the alias.

3. Roles & Permissions

Can I assign the Owner role directly through the invite flow?

No. To prevent security risks, the system will return an error. Invite the user as an Admin first, or contact support to securely transfer primary ownership.

4. Accounting Firms

I am an accountant. Can I invite myself to a client's account?

No. For data separation, your client must log into their own Juni account and invite your primary email address. Once sent, log out of Juni, open your email, accept the link, and log back in.

If a client removes my access later, will it affect my accounting firm Juni account?

Not at all. Removing access to a client account has zero impact on your primary credentials or your own firm's workspace.

5. Troubleshooting

I get an error message when clicking the invitation link. How do I fix it?

This happens because you are still actively logged into another Juni account in that browser. Log out of Juni completely first, then go back to your email and click the link again.

My invitation link is broken or expired.

Links expire if re-sent too quickly (within 5 minutes). Ask your company admin to send a fresh invite.
