Financial regulation and protection
Regulatory compliance: Juni’s products are designed to be PSD2 compliant and align with European standards for safe and secure payment services
Regulatory supervision: Juni is regulated and supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Sw. Finansinspektionen) in the EU/EEA
Strong customer authentication (SCA): Juni meets the requirement for strong customer authentication, providing protection against unauthorised payments
Unauthorised payments: You will be refunded for any unauthorised payments (e.g., payments made by someone else following an Account Takeover) provided you meet the requirements set in PSD2. Those requirements generally stipulate that you have not acted fraudulently or with gross negligence
Safeguarding your funds: We do not lend your money or make investments with it. Instead, we use safeguarding to protect your money. The e-money in your Juni accounts is deposited into a ring-fenced account with our partner bank, meaning your money is segregated from our own funds
Protecting your data
GDPR compliance: Juni complies with the GDPR and all relevant data privacy laws
Data processing: We only process your personal data in accordance with our Customer Privacy Policy
No data selling: We will never sell your personal data to marketing platforms
