How do I export transactions to my ERP system?

Updated today

Overview

Juni is designed to fit your financial operations, no matter which ERP system you use. You can easily prepare your transactions in Juni, set up rules for smart automation, and then export all data as a CSV file or SIE file for smooth import into your external system.

Your existing ERP system is the foundation, and we make it simple to transfer all your data from Juni. Here are the steps to prepare your transactions:

Step 1: Customise your account codes (Dimensions)

To ensure your accounting data is perfect, you need to input your chart of accounts into Juni. This allows you to automatically categorise transactions and save valuable time.

  1. Navigate to Accounting and then Dimensions

  2. Click Configure as a simple list

  3. Fill in the Account Name and your unique Account Code in the new window that appears

  4. Continue adding all necessary codes from your chart of accounts

Step 2: Add Other Dimensions (Optional)

If you use other dimensions like Cost Center or Project in your ERP system, you can easily add these to Juni for more detailed accounting:

  1. Under the Dimensions tab, select Create dimension

  2. In the list, select the dimension you want to add (e.g., Cost Center)

  3. A new tab (e.g., Cost Center) will appear next to Account and VAT Code

  4. Click Configure as a simple list and fill in the name and code for each dimension

Step 3: Set up rules

Once your account codes are in place, you can start automating your bookkeeping. This is the most efficient way to reduce manual work.

  1. Go to Rules in the menu

  2. Choose between Merchant Rules (for specific suppliers) or Category Rules (for Juni's fixed categories)

  3. When creating a rule, simply select which Account Code and VAT Code should be linked to the transaction

Step 4: Export to your ERP system

Transactions are automatically prepared and matched under the Prepare & export tab. Once everything is ready, you download the file you need.

  1. Prepare: Ensure transactions have accounting values (Account Code, VAT Code) and matched supporting documents

  2. Select: Mark the transactions you want to export

  3. Select Mark as ready to export. They will move to the Ready to export tab

  4. On the Ready to export tab, select the transactions again and choose Export

  5. Choose file type: In the export window, you select either a CSV file or an SIE file

Document handling: All supporting documents (receipts) related to the transactions will end up in a separate folder upon download. This gives you full control over the receipt matching process in your ERP system.

SIE File: If you select an SIE file, you must first fill in a Voucher Series and Counter Accounts (account codes for your currency accounts). These must be created in your ERP system for the export to work.
