How do I set up multi-factor authentication?

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) provides an extra layer of security for your Juni account. By setting up MFA, you ensure that only you have access to your account and that your financial information stays secure. This guide shows you how to activate MFA using your preferred method.

How to

When you log in for the second time, you'll be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to secure your account. You can choose one of two methods.

Option 1: Use an authenticator app (recommended)

The most secure method is to use an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator or similar), which generates a one-time code each time you log in.

  1. Download an authenticator app on your mobile phone

  2. Open the authenticator app and scan the QR code shown in Juni

  3. Enter the one-time code generated by the app

  4. Multi-factor authentication is now active

Option 2: Use SMS

Alternatively, you can choose to receive one-time passwords via SMS

  1. Juni will send a one-time code to the phone number linked to your account

  2. Enter the code you receive via SMS

  3. Multi-factor authentication is now active

Note: There is a limit of 10 SMS per hour per user for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This is in place to ensure security and protect against automated attacks attempting to guess MFA codes. If you have exceeded the limit of 10 SMS per hour per user, you'll need to wait an hour before you can receive another code via SMS.
