BankID is deeply integrated into the Juni platform to offer a robust, all-in-one solution for our Swedish users. This guide explains how you can use BankID for a faster and more secure identity verification method across your entire journey with Juni, including signing up, logging in, and authorising operations.
How BankID is used in the Juni platform
BankID simplifies your workflow by giving you an option to replace traditional passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with a single, secure verification.
1) Faster sign-up process via the website
Using BankID is the recommended way to start your application for Swedish users.
Fill in the Sign Up form at https://www.juni.co/open-account
In the next step, choose Sign up with BankID
Scan the QR code on your screen with your BankID app or use the device you are on
Follow the verification instructions on your phone
On your screen you will now be prompted to add your email address that will be connected to your BankID
Verify your email address by finding the email sent from Juni in your inbox with the subject line: Welcome to Juni | Please verify your email and adding the code in the email in the fields in the onboarding flow
In the next step you add your organisation number, language preference and select your Price Plan (Free, Plus, Custom).
Note that if you select Custom, our team will reach out and help set you up with a tailor-made plan
If you select Free or Plus, the details you have added so far will be pre-filled in your application
Proceed by filling in and signing the rest of the application
After you submit your application, our team will review the details to ensure an accurate and secure onboarding experience
Once approved, your account will be activated and you’ll receive a confirmation email with details of your approval and instructions for the next steps to get access to the platform
Most applications are approved within 24 hours
The review process can take up to two working days
If more information is needed, we’ll contact you. In some cases, the process can take up to ten business days if additional information is required
2) For existing users
Use BankID as a fast and password-free way to access your account.
On the Juni login page, click Log in with BankID
Scan the QR code on your screen with your BankID app and follow the instructions on your phone
On your screen you will now be prompted to add your email address that you want connected to your BankID
Verify your email address by finding the email sent from Juni in your inbox with the subject line: Link your Juni account to your BankID and adding the number you have received in the fields in the onboarding flow
You will be logged in to your Juni account instantly
Important information
1) You can only connect one account to your BankID
2) BankID might fail in these cases:
Using a VPN - please disable any VPNs you are using

Secure verification for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
For enhanced security, BankID is used for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) whenever it is required. This applies to important actions such as authorising large payments or making significant changes to your account. When prompted, simply use your BankID app to securely approve the action.

Fewer manual steps: It makes the application process faster, as you don't need to complete a separate manual identity verification (IDV).

Yes. To enable BankID for your existing account, please choose Sign in with BankID the next time you log in and follow the required steps.

No. While it makes the application process faster by simplifying identity verification, all applications still go through our standard internal review and KYB (Know Your Business) process

You can only connect your personal BankID to one Juni account. For any additional accounts, you must use the Google or Email login method.
